The Coathangers debuted a video for “Watch Your Back,” taking us behind the scenes with shots in the recording studio and clips from tour this year. This track will be released on a 7″ split with The Black Lips this Friday (Suicide Squeeze).
The music video for The Coathangers‘ new song “Watch Your Back” serves as a mini video diary of their last few months on tour and gives us an inside look at the recording studio. The track is a confidently spewed punk banger in classic Coathanger fashion—and is already playing on repeat.
I happened to catch the trio (well, I didn’t “happen to catch” anything, I waited excitedly for weeks) for their set at Rickshaw Stop on Julia Kugel’s birthday, which is featured in the video under dim red lighting with a stage decorated with balloons.
The new track will be featured on the split, out this Friday. Pre-order it on Suicide Squeeze to snag yourself one of the 1,000 copies made.
