Upcoming Shows: April Picks

Check out our April Picks for a quick offering of what’s on our radar for the coming month: The Coathangers return to LA, Mall Walk joins Golden Drugs for The Night Light series, The Red Pears and friends take over The Smell, Diet Cig plays w/ Plush and Jay Som in SF, and Sheer Mag stops by the Rickshaw.

4/6: The Coathangers w/ Death Valley Girls and Death Hymn Number 9 @ The Echo

Atlanta’s rowdiest punk trio returns to LA for an already SOLD OUT performance as they begin to tour in celebration of their latest record Nosebleed Weekend via Suicide Records, out later this month. Annnnd Death Valley Girls along with Death Hymn Number 9 are on this bill! Note we hear there’s a special meet-n-greet and performance prior to the show starting at 4pm. Get there early kids.

4/8: Golden Drugs w/ Mall Walk and Tiny Head @ The Night Light

As part of The Night Light’s free monthly show series, INFLUX presents its third night of music and there’s a lot to be psyched about. Golden drugs just released their new track “Sugar Water” via The Bay Bridged, Mall Walk is back in the Bay after touring the west coast, and Tiny Head is making an appearance after a quiet few weeks—oh, and it’s FREE.

4/9: The Red Pears w/ VAJJ & more @ The Smell

Penniback Records keeps killing it w/ their lineups and this one —The Red Pears, VAJJ, Badlnds, and Astronaut Samurais—is no exception. Come out to see a range of SoCal punk from the IE to the OC all coming together at The Smell.

4/16: Diet Cig  w/ Plush (Record Release) and Jay Som @ Bottom of the Hill

Plush will be playing w/ NY’s Diet Cig and their SF buds, Jay Som, to celebrate the release of their Please EP on Father Daughter Records. Sure to be a magical time.

4/17: Chastity Belt w/ Upset and French Vanilla @ Non Plus Ultra

Dirty Laundry TV is bringing Seattle’s Chastity Belt back to LA, and we couldn’t be more excited. They play w/ LA punk locals Upset and French Vanilla in our favorite basement venue.

4/23: Sheer Mag w/ Flesh World and Beast @ Rickshaw Stop

At long last, Sheer Mag is playing a Bay Area show. These Philly rock ‘n rollers have released three 7” records in the last two years and all have been insaaaanely good. They’ll be joined by the Bay Area’s Beast and Flesh World. You’d be a fool to miss this special occasion.

April is actually loaded w/ tons of shows that we couldn’t list in this post. See a more complete list of upcoming shows here.
