Upcoming Shows: July Picks

Check out our July Picks for a quick offering of what’s on our radar:  Sister Crowley in Long Beach, Crush and Unity at The Hole, a Night of Love at The BlindSpot, Grassy Null and Dirty Penni Fests, and Meat Market, OCD, and Plush at Starline.

7/2: Sister Crowley w/ Hoop Screams @ 4th St. Vine

Long Beach’s Astro Lizard Records is kicking off July with a fun one, presenting Sister Crowley, Hoop Screams, Sean Gospel & the Nightstalkers at 4th St Vine. It’s free, too.

7/10: Crush, Unity, Soar, Heavy Petting & Late Bloom @ The Hole

The Hole has done it again. Uniting acts from across the bay with more out of town rockers. We highly recommend you come early for the SF and Seattle based bands and of course, stick around for the Oaklanders.

(Also, the show flyer is a beauty)

7/15: Kera And The Lesbians w/ The Buttertones and more @ The BlindSpot

This little gem of a lineup brings together Kera and The Lesbians, Part Time, Dancing Tongues, The Buttertones, and Children for a night of love all under one tripped-out, acid visual experience.

7/23: Grassy Null Festival @ The Bug Box

To help celebrate the Grassy Null Recording Studio‘s Volume 1 Tape release (out on Vacant Stare Records), they’re hosting a one day festival in Oakland, featuring Violence Creeps, Baus, The World, bAd, bAd, Scraper, The Peels, Lil Dowager, Clumsy and more TBA. It’s all organic and locally sourced. Support it.

7/23: Dirty Penni Fest w/ Cherry Glazerr, No Parents, and more! @ The Echo/Echoplex

Alternatively, in LA there’s this. Dirty Laundry TV and Penniback Records become one to put on this epic day fest that also doubles as a showcase for some of the sickest bands of SoCal punk and beyond. Oh, and there’s a pre-party, too.

7/30: Meat Market, OCD (EP Release) & Plush @ Starline Social Club

The Native Sound and OIM Records killed it with this lineup. Come out to support OCD for the release of their new Growth EP out now on Native Sound. You love all three bands, it’s a Saturday, you have no excuse.

July is actually loaded w/ tons of shows that we couldn’t list in this post. See a wider list of upcoming shows here.

***FYI we recommend every show at The Smell and Pehrspace too!
